D&W mocht het dit weekend opnemen tegen Grenskracht Menen. Koekelare speelde met ongeveer dezelfde ploeg als vorig jaar. Bij Menen stond er toch een andere ploeg op het plein bij vorig jaar. Koekelare kreeg de opzet en kon direct zijn eerste aanval scoren. Door slecht verdedigen op een tweede worp kon deze afgewerkt worden met rugworp 2-1 achter. Toen begon er een lange fase van verschillende vrije worpen tegen en slecht afwerken. Zo kwam D&W 8-2 achter. Nadat D&W zoveel achter stond lukte Maarten een rugworp. Menen had toen een moeilijke periode en kon ook niet scoren. Koekelare scoorde wel en toen Daan een bal kon vangen en deze met een rugworp afmaakte stond het weer 8-8. Dieter maakte direct na deze fase enkele foutjes op de eerste worp en zo kon Menen nog uitlopen tot 10-8 aan de rust.
Koekelare begon de tweede helft slecht zodat Menen nog meer kon uit lopen. Het kwam tot vier punten voor. Toen volgde een tiental minuten waar er niet gescoord werd. Koekelare was de eerste die tot kon scoren en kon zo de kloof dichten tot 2 doelpunten. D&W kwam zelfs op een doelpuntje en toen Maarten een bal kon vangen dicht bij zijn doelgebied zat er zelfs meer in. Maar hij liep net iets te ver en zo kwam Menen weer op 2 punten voorsprong. Met nog een minuut te gaan kreeg D&W nog een kans maar de rugworp van Maarten werd gevangen. Koekelare verloor met 17-15
